ZEV co-op does not collect your personal information when you visit the website unless you choose to provide that information when you sign up to use the carsharing service or send us inquiries.
What personal information do we collect?
ZEV co-op collects the following information:
- Contact information, including name, date of birth, home address, phone number, and email address.
- Payment information, including credit card information or other type of payments
- Eligibility information, including driver license, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). If you are eligible for a low-income rate, you may be asked to provide a qualification document.
- Vehicle usage information including vehicle mileage, vehicle fuel level/state of charge, vehicle locations, and other vehicle telematics information. Some vehicles may have dashcam recordings for insurance claims purposes.
- Subscriber or membership history in the system.
Failing to provide certain personal information may prevent us from determining your eligibility for our carsharing service.
When/How do we collect information?
We collect information from you when you sign up on the app or website, or when you send inquiries.
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you make a reservation, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, or use certain other site features in the following ways: To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests. To send periodic emails regarding your membership. To follow up with you after correspondence (email or phone inquiries).
Member Consent
We collect only the necessary information for members/subscribers to deliver the service we provide. We may provide your information to our insurer for insurance claim purposes. Customer who wishes to use our service are required to sign our Terms & Conditions.
How do we protect your information?
We use Stripe to handle all credit card transactions which is PCI compliant (Stripe Privacy Policy). Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. We implement a variety of security measures when a user enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
Third-party disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information.
CAN-SPAM Act
We collect your email address to send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions, and send you newsletter or member updates. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from future emails, you can contact us at goelectric@zev.coop or follow the instructions at the bottom of each email.
Requesting data removal
You can request removal of your personal data from ZEV co-op systems by sending an email to goelectric@zev.coop. Requests to delete account information are handled manually by the Customer Service team. Any outstanding fees or charges must be paid before your data is deleted. Once your request has been reviewed and approved, all your data, including personal information and booking history, will be deleted and will not be recoverable. You will no longer be able to access your account.
